January 4th - 1st snorkelToday started slowly, with the weather looking threatening. We did some Internet work, and some shopping. After lunch we went snorkeling at Hidden Beach. This is one of the few unmarked sites, but worth the effort to locate. I have to laugh at the name "Beach"; there is a length of sand about 6 feet long. It was an easy entry, but the current was quite strong. Got some photos of fish, as you can see below.
For dinner we went to a BBQ at Jibe City, the location where Pat and Nat windsurf. The food was good, inexpensive, and they had live entertainment.
This is a Spotted Scorpionfish. It is the first time we have seen one. A pair of Trunkfish. We saw a large number of them on this snorkel. A school of Blue Tang swam past and into some Elkhorn Coral. This French Angel was not shy; he swam directly towards me. I think he saw his own reflection on the camera lens, and was interested. Our lizard friends were back in the trees again today. I just had to take a few more shots. Nat and Pat at BBQ Trudy and Gord at BBQ. The band part I. The band part II. Gord, before drinking! Gord in our yard. The following are some shots of the plants in our yard. Back to 2006 Vacation Index page Back to Previous Forward to Next
